Modern time spaces do not meet the expectations of people. One of the reasons for this is the small and restricted open public spaces that emerged as a result of rapid urbanization. The question at the heart of this study is, what could be the design proposals for small and restricted open public spaces from a multidisciplinary perspective? Within the scope of the subject, the mutual relationship between modernism and urbanization has been evaluated. The need for perception, belonging/ place attachment, which has lost its importance in modern times, has been mentioned. In addition, prioritization of human in interdisciplinary studies in spatial context were questioned. As a result, solution proposals were grouped under two headings: about human (with subtitles of spatial perception, spatial experience, needs, human scale and participation) and about space (with subtitles of space, its equipment and fittings, planting design and conceptual design). © 2023 Peter Lang GmbH, Internationaler Verlag der Wissenschaften.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessattachmentbelongingperceptionrestricted spacesmall spaceurbanizationDesign Solutions to Deal with Small and Restricted Open Public SpacesBook Chapter7477602-s2.0-85153657388
