dc.description.abstractIn this research, actual potential of Sarkoy coastal settlements according to tourism types was presented in the meaning of expectations and tendencies of local people. In this direction the following questions were tried to be replied; How do the tourism activities should take place in Sarkoy coastal villages as an instrument of development? and What do the place and role of local people should be in tourism activities?. As a result of the research, it was determined that the local people have positive aspect on tourism. Also it was found out that different tourism alternatives (tracking, camping, caravan tourism, picnic, climbing, mountain bicycle, sea tourism, agricultural tourism, parachute etc.) can be done in the region.
