Özet
The aim of this research is, to observe the effects of magnesium sulphate (MgSO4) and dolomite (CaCO3 center dot MgCO3), on K, Ca, Mg contents of a maize plant, which is grown in acid soils. Sample soils, were taken from three different places in Kirklareli region and applied with different doses of magnesium sulphate and dolamite. Four doses magnesium sulphate (M0=0 g, M1=0.4 g, M2=0.8 g ve M3=1.2 g) and four doses dolomite (D0=0 g, D1=4 g, D2=8 g ve D3=12 g) had been applied to the soils, which was classified as clay, loamy and sandy, with three repetitions. Plants have been harvested at the 35th day of their progression period and analyzed to determine plant % K, Ca and Mg contents. According to the results, in clay soils, dolomite obtains possitive effects on % K, Ca and Mg contents of the plant. In loamy soils, % K content increases with magnesium sulphate applications. In loamy soils, according to variance analysis of % Ca and Mg contents, the effect of magnesium sources are not significiant. In sandy soils, dolomite applications increased % K, Ca and Mg contents of the plant.
