dc.description.abstractMeric Plain, with wide land and water resources, is known as Agriculture Land and one of the most important agricultural regions of Turkey. This region is the largest rice cultivation area of Turkey and makes great contributions to rice production. In this study, social and economic structures of rice producers living in Ipsala, Karpuzlu and Meric regions were investigated by using some systematic data collection techniques and also a socio - economic assessment was suggested for the region according to the data.
