Özet
It is common knowledge that technology is one of the key components of language teaching. As important actors of language teaching classrooms, coursebooks have been exposed to new changes recently and interactive software is one of the most interesting features of the new generation coursebook. Almost all coursebooks are launched with additional software and instructors can use it in classroom instead of traditional coursebook. In this paper, effectiveness of using interactive software as a coursebook is investigated via questionnaires and interviews. Results revealed that both students and instructors are the admirers of using interactive software instead of coursebook in English courses. It is obvious that interactive software is more effective in equipping students with the language skills necessary to survive in a university context.
