Özet
Kentsel mekanların asıl kullanıcısı olan yayaların bu alanlardaki düzenlemelere katılımının sağlanması, istek ve önerilerinin belirlenmesi yapılacak çalışmalar için önemlidir. Bu çalışmada, kent halkı ve işyeri sahiplerinin kent merkezindeki yayalar için yapılan düzenlemeler ile ilgili görüşleri ve isteklerinin neler olduğu, mevcut durumun yeterliliği belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Yapılan iki farklı anket çalışması ile hem kent halkının hem de işyeri sahiplerinin görüşleri alınarak değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Kentte yaya bölgeleri oluşturulması ile ilgili soruya kent halkının % 81’i, işyeri sahiplerinin ise %50’si evet cevabını vermiştir. Bu çalışmayla kent halkının açık yeşil alan sisteminin bir parçası olan yaya bölgelerine ihtiyaçları olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır.
It is important to get the contributions and opinions of the pedestrians who are the real users of urban spaces, during the design process of these places. In this study, the suggestions and demands of the citizens and shopkeepers on arrangements of the pedestrian zones and the affordability of the spaces have been investigated. Two different questionnaires have been applied taking both the citizens and the shopkeepers opinions on the subject. 80% of the citizens and 50% of the shopkeepers have approved the question on designing new pedestrian zones in the city. The need of pedestrian zones of the citizens has been appeared by this study.
