Özet
The distribution of the green spaces around the city, their functional properties and the adequacy of these functionalities, the community that they serve and the accessibility that the unit they serve are the important indicators of urban life quality. Consequently these indicators will be important to identify the planning and design of future urban green spaces. In this context, this research has been done to identify the existing situation of the parks within Corlu district, Tekirdag, in terms of quality and quantity at the neighborhood level. At neighborhood scale, the compliance of the selected sample parks have been determined based on the size, accessibility, space usage, evaluation criteria for the structural and plant design principles. As a result of the research, sample parks in the scale of neighborhoods were found adequate in terms of structural and plantal design criteria. Hovewer, insufficiencies in space and accessibility were identified.
