Öğe According to Landscape Design Principles Determination of Current Situations of Orchards of Some Elementary School in Edirne City Center(Univ Namik Kemal, 2013) Karakaya, B.; Kiper, T.The school gardens are defined as schools' external environment where the children are able to develop their social, physical, emotional and intellectual skills. Therefore, it is important that the planning and design of these places supply with children's physical, social and psychological needs. In this study, a sample of 10 elementary school playground in the city center of Edirne was carried out physical, cultural, and current situation analysis and the efficiency of school gardens have been produced. The current situation of the elementary school gardens was determined according to principles of landscape design, in this way proposals have been given to solve the existing problems.Öğe Determination of Recreational Tendencies and Demands of Students at Namik Kemal University, Faculty Agriculture (Tekirdag)(Univ Namik Kemal, 2009) Kiper, T.This study aims to determine the recreational tendeney, the partieipation level for the actual activities and recreational demands of the students at Namik Kemal University Faculty of Agriculture. For this purpose, questionnaire survey has been conducted by using standard forms in this study. Questionnaire applied to 360 participants, totally randomly, in May 2008. As statistical procedure percentage, tabulation multiple comparison test were applied. Recreational demanding of students are toward the social recreational facilities, especially, cultural, sporting and natural activities. Results of the research are aim to support sustainable development plan of Namik Kemal University that have been just established.Öğe Evaluation of Neighborhood Parks With Regard to Landscape Design and Using Criteria: Case of Istanbul-Sisli(Univ Namik Kemal, 2014) Cosaner, M.; Kiper, T.; Korkut, A.This study's hypothesis is a neighborhood park should be a design concept; accessible, visual richness, containing a combination of several functions for different user groups, reflects the local characteristics of the area in which, accordance with the nature of the environment, found that the interaction of socio-cultural activities. According to this hypothesis, this study aimed to evaluate the neighborhood parks with regard to landscape design and using criteria. For this purpose it is examined physical, original features and activities of neighborhood parks chosen case of Istanbul city, Sisli county; investigated for suitability evaluation landscape design and using criteria and identified deficiencies. As a result of this research is determined that an available significant portion of park areas do not provide users' needs with regard to location, in terms of quality and quantity, and established a concept contrary to the principles of design. Some recommendations are presented intended to rehabilitation of these park areas.Öğe Impact of the Development of Rural Tourism Natural Landscape Features: Sample of Sarkoy County, Tekirdag(Univ Namik Kemal, 2011) Kiper, T.; Ozyavuz, M.; Korkut, A.Rural tourism, natural resources, cultural heritage, rural lifestyle and an integrated tourism is a type of local economic activities. Therefore, rural tourism in rural areas was carried out with a number of elements in their natural landscape and cultural landscape (water, vista, topography, vegetation, clean air), as well as in the variety of recreational activities suitable for all kinds of environments. Therefore, rural tourism and its natural assets and raw materials to create, as well as directing people to travel is an attractive force. In this study, natural landscape features of the town of Tekirdag Province Sarkoy determined by the effect on rural tourism. In this direction the following questions were tried to be replied; How do the tourism activities should take place in Sarkoy coastal villages as an instrument of development? and What do the place and role of local people should be in tourism activities?. As a result of the research, it was determined that the local people have positive aspect on tourism. Also it was found out that different tourism alternatives (tracking, camping, caravan tourism, picnic, climbing, mountain bicycle, sea tourism, agricultural tourism, parachute etc.) can be done in the region.Öğe Urban Forest Recreation and Local People's Awarness About Example of Edirne Urban (Izzet Arseven) Forest(Univ Namik Kemal, 2011) Kiper, T.; Ozturk, A. G.City forests are natural and green areas, which are located within urban settlements and can provide recreational facilities for people. The forests make an impact on the community's physiological, psychological, economic and social development. In this context, urban planning and management of forest resources are used to determine objectives and strategies in the process, ensuring social inclusion is a priority. When they are deciding about forest solutions the public. s decisions will make a big difference. Because of that the work has been carried out in example of Edirne urban forest will make differences, the public will have some knowledge and that will make some differences visible to the public, and public needs and conditions are recognized. At the same time this work will show recreations and what they expect from the recreation will be proved. With this purpose the research come to a standard form and a research survey took place. The answers that were found at the end of the research are being continued to improve the urban forest and provide the urban people their recreational needs.
