Öğe Asemptomatik ZKTB Postmenopozal Kadınlarda Transvajinal Patolojileri Değerlendirmedeki Yeri(2012) Ünlüer, Ayşe Nurcan; Abalı, Remzi; Yüksel, Mehmet Aytaç; Temel, İlkbal; Boran, Ahmet Birtan; Çelik, Cem; Bozkurt, SerpilAmaç: Asemptomatik postmenopozal kadınlarda, transvajinal ultrasonografiografi (TV-USG) ile endometrial kalınlık değerlendirmesinin, endometrium kanserinin erken tanısındaki etkinliğini ve endometrial kalınlıkla endometrium kanseri risk faktörleri arasındaki ilişkiyi retro- spektif olarak araştırmayı amaçladık, Materyal ve Metod: S,B, İstanbul Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Menopoz Polikliniğine Haziran 2008- Ağustos 2009 tarihleri arasında rutin kontroller için başvuran asemptomatik postmenopozal kadınların, bilgisayar ve dosya kayıtları incelenerek retrospektif olarak yapıldı, Bulgular: Endometrial kalınlığı >5 mm bulu- nan 54 (%13,5) hastaya endometrial örnekleme yapıldı, Histopatolojik inceleme sonucunda, 1 vakada atipik kompleks hiperplazi (%0,3), 14 vakada endometrial polip (% 3,5), 7 vakada pro- liferasyon bulguları (% 1,8) ve 32 vakada (% 8) normal histolojik bulgular saptandı, Endometrial kalınlığı ? 5 mm olan postmenopozal hastalarda; diabetes mellitus, hipertansiyon ve yüksek vücut kitle indeksi istatistiksel olarak anlamlı derecede fazla bulundu, Daha önce hormon replasman te- davisi alanlar ve sigara kullanan vakalarda en- dometrial kalınlık diğerlerinden istatistiksel olar- ak anlamlı derecede ince bulundu, Sonuç: Asemptomatik postmenopozal kadınlarda rutin TV-USG, kanser tarama yöntemi olarak anlamlı bulunmasa da postmenopozal riskli grubun tanımlanması ve takibinde invazif olmay- an, tanıya yardımcı bir yöntemdir,Öğe Comparison of the acute alterations in serum bone turnover markers and bone mineral density among women with surgical menopause(Elsevier, 2011) Bahar, Sengul; Abalı, Remzi; Güzel, Savaş; Bozkurt, Serpil; Güzel, Eda Çelik; Aral, Hale; Boran, Ahmet BirtanObjective: To determine the effect of a sudden decrease in estrogen levels via bilateral oophorectomy on serum turnover markers and to examine their correlation with bone mineral density (BMD). Study design: This study included 51 women who had regular menses preoperatively and underwent bilateral oophorectomy for benign reasons. These women did not have any systemic disease or drug use that would influence bone metabolism. For each woman, spine and femur BMD were measured preoperatively and sixth months after surgery. Serum C-terminal telopeptide (CTX) and bone alkaline phosphatase (BAP) were measured preoperatively and at the first and sixth months after surgery. Correlations between bone turnover markers and BMD were pre- and post-operatively analyzed. Results: The mean serum CTX and BAP concentrations at the first and sixth postoperative months were significantly higher compared to the preoperative measurements (p = 0.001). Spine BMD values at the sixth postoperative month was significantly lower compared to preoperative period (p = 0.0001). There was a significant negative correlation between spine BMD values and BAP levels both in the preoperative period and at the sixth postoperative month (r = -0.407, p = 0.001), whereas a significant positive correlation between serum CTX and BAP was noted at this time periods (r = 0.615, p < 0.001). Conclusions: The results of this study showed that serum BAP and CTX levels rapidly increase in women after bilateral oophorectomy. Therefore, these markers (especially BAP) could be useful in the evaluation of osteoporosis risk in the early period of surgical menopause. (C) 2011 Elsevier Ireland Ltd. The aim of our study is to report this rare case. We diagnosed cleft palate, micrognatia, dilatation of the fourth ventricle, total agenesis of corpus callosum, multicystic kidneys, club foot by ultrasound in the 23(th) week of gestation. Based on the findings of neonatal autopsy, fetus is proposed to be diagnose as Goldston syndrome. The etiology of this kind of familial disorder remains unclear, but a genetic factor might be involved.Öğe Report of surgical correction of a cervicovaginal agenesis case: cervicovaginal reconstruction with pudendal thigh flaps(Termedia Publishing House Ltd, 2013) Abalı, Remzi; Kuvat, Samet Vasfi; Bozkurt, Serpil; Kayhan, Arda; Yüksel, Mehmet Aytaç; Çalışkan, Hatice[No Abstract Available]
