Öğe A Research on the Determination of Sowing Performance of Pneumatic Precision Drill for Cereals Sowing(Univ Namik Kemal, 2009) Bayhan, Y.; Kayisoglu, B.; Ulger, P.; Akdemir, B.In this research, sowing rate and seed distribution of furrow openers of pneumatic seed drills were determined. In addition, sowing rates given in the machine catalogue were compared with test results. Coefficient of variation of the seed distribution of the furrow openers were less than that 4% given in the literature as maximum value for evaluating of seed drills. Amount of distributed seed from the furrow openers varied between 3% and 12%. Test results of sowing rates were less than that the catalogue value of sowing machine but differences were not significant statistically.Öğe Determination of spatial variability in olive production. Part II - Leaf(2010) Belliturk, K.; Saglam, C.; Akdemir, B.; Sisman, C.; Sozubek, B.This research was carried out in an olive orchard with 84 trees in Turkey to determine spatial variability of plant nutrition in leaves. Leaf analyses were realized by using samples which were taken from grids. The soil of the olive orchard was suitable for olive growing due to physical and chemical analysis except organic matter, Mn, and Zn. The leaf analysis showed that the levels of K, Ca, Mg, and P were sufficient. These results were parallel to the results obtained from soil. When micro element levels were investigated; the levels of Fe and Mn were adequate, and level of Cu was excessive. Due to the analysis results; N, P, Mn and Zn will be required for the next year olive production. The fertilization strategies must include these applications.Öğe Development A Pulling Force and Torque Measurement Apparatus For Hoeing Tractors(Univ Namik Kemal, 2013) Kaya, K.; Akdemir, B.; Dalmis, I. S.There is lack of test apparatus used in research and development for a two wheel tractors (single-axle tractors), although existing of apparatus for measuring torque an draft forces of standard tractors used widely in Turkish agriculture. Objective of this research is to develop a pulling force and torque measurement apparatus for single axle hoeing tractor when it works with different agricultural equipment. A measurement system was developed to determine PTO torque and tractor draft force in this research. This measurement system was tested by working with different agricultural machineries in field tests. The field tests have been carried out by using single moldboard garden plough, furrow opener plough, rotary cultivator and small garden trailer in a garden, has a sandy-clay soil texture, 26.16% clay, 24% silt, 49.84 % sand and its moisture is % 12.26. The obtained values are 231.90 N minimum, 1350.75 N maximum for garden plough with single mouldboard, 373.77 N minimum, 961.36 N maximum for furrow opener plough, 81.00 N minimum, 615.13 N maximum draft forces for garden trailer and 60 Nm minimum, 100 Nm maximum torque values for hoeing roller in the field tests have been carried out in three replications.
