Öğe An Investigation of Some Heavy Metals (Cr, Ni, Pb) Pollution of Karamenderes Basin Soils in canakkale(Univ Namik Kemal, 2013) Sumer, A.; Adiloglu, S.; Cetinkaya, O.; Adiloglu, A.; Sungur, A.; Akbulak, C.The aim of this research was to determine the heavy metal pollution of Karamenderes Basin soils in canakkale Province. For this purpose, soil samples were taken from 80 different areas in in basin. Extractable Cr, Ni and Pb contents of soil samples were determined. As a of the research, Pb pollution was determined in the soil samples. Whereas Cr and Ni pollution were not determined in the soil samples, presently.Öğe Determination of Antioxidant Activity of Sunflower Growing in Hayrabolu District of Tekirdag Province(Univ Namik Kemal, 2014) Afacan, A.; Adiloglu, S.; Hasanghasemi, A.; Saglam, C.Sunflower, apart being the plant of cooking oil, is grown as an ornamental plant in parks and gardens. Protein, carbohydrate and fat is found in sunflower pulp utilized as animal feed apart being used as cooking oil. While its seeds are being used as snacks, its stems and slabs are used in the paper industry. In this study, sunflower widely cultivated in Tekirdag province, Tunca MR (5580) sunflower variety grown in the basic soils of Banarli Village in Hayrabolu District and antioxidant activities of plant extracts during physiological and harvest periods were researched with beta-carotene Linoleic Acid Method and it was compared with Butylated Hydroxy Toluene (BHT), which is a synthetic antioxidant, and Trolox as a standard. Total antioxidant activity was determined with beta-carotene Linoleic Acid Method. In this study, however, antioxidant capacities of sunflowers were compared by considering their seeds in terms of soil and climate.Öğe Some Statistical Relationships Between Chrome and Nickel Contents and Some Physicochemical Properties of Tekirdag Province Soils(Univ Namik Kemal, 2015) Adiloglu, S.; Saglam, M. T.The aim of this research was to determine the some statistical relationships between Cr and Ni contents and some physicochemical properties of near the motorway soils Tekirdag Province. For this purpose, soil samples were taken from 50 different agricultural lands near the motorway in Saray, Cerkezkoy and Corlu districts. According to the results, extractable Cr contents of soil samples were determined between 0,034 and 0,390 mg kg(-1) and extractable Ni contents of soil samples were determined between 7,410 and 1,623 mg kg(-1). Chromium and Ni pollution were not determined in the soils, presently. Between clay, lime and pH values of soils samples and Cr, Ni contents of the soils were determined statistically significant relations at the level of 5%. On the other hand, between organic matter amount of soils samples and Ni contents were determined statistically significant relations at the level of 5% but this relation was not significant determined for Cr contents of soil samples.Öğe The Effect of Increasing Doses of Sulfur Application of Some Nutrient Elements, Vitamin C, Protein Contents And Biological Properties of Canola Plant (Brassica Napus L.)(Univ Namik Kemal, 2013) Adiloglu, S.; Acikgoz, F. Eryilmaz; Adiloglu, AydinThis study was conducted in order to determine the effect of increasing doses of sulfur (S) application on some macro and micro elements, vitamin C, protein contents and biological properties of canola plant. In the experiment four doses of S (S-0: 0 mg kg(-1), S-1: 20 mg kg(-1), S-2: 40 mg kg(-1), S-3: 60 mg kg(-1)) were applied as NH4SO4 fertilizer in greenhouse conditions. The content of Vitamin C content of canola plant decreased with increasing doses application of S. Vitamin C content of canola plant was obtained for So dose as 28.41 mg 10(-1)g and decreased Vitamin C content of canola plant with increasing S application and 22.36 mg 100(-1)g obtained for S-3 dose. Protein content of canola plant increased from So dose to S-2 dose with S application and decreased for S-3 dose application. Protein content of canola plant was found 33.71 % for S-2 dose. On the other hand, Potassium (K), Calcium (Ca), Magnesium (Mg), Iron (Fe) and Copper (Cu) nutrient elements contents of canola plant increased with S application but these increases were not found statistically significant. The highest Nitrogen (N) (6.68 %), Phosphorus (P) (0.80 %) and Zinc (Zn) (47.4 mg kg(-1)) contents were obtained with S-2 dose and the highest Mangan (Mn) (70.6 mg kg(-1)) content were obtained with S3 dose of canola plant. Some biological properties of canola plant increased with increasing sulfur application. Plant height was determined as 37.16 cm, plant weight as 101.87g and number of leaves a plant as 8.33 for S-3 dose application. Canola plant can be an alternative product rather for vegetables which have rapid growth periods such as lettuce, cress, rocket, fresh onion, garlic, and leek from the months of late fall to early spring even until the beginning of summer.
