    The aim of this research was to determine the heavy metal pollution of Karamenderes Basin soils in canakkale Province. For this purpose, soil samples were taken from 80 different areas in in basin. Extractable Cr, Ni and Pb contents of soil samples were determined. As a of the research, Pb pollution was determined in the soil samples. Whereas Cr and Ni pollution were not determined in the soil samples, presently.

    Determination of Nutrient Status of Some Ornamental Plants with Plant Analysis in Public Garden of Izmit District, Kocaeli

    This study was done to determine the nutritional status of the some ornamental plants leaf sample analyses in Izmit district, Kocaeli. For this purpose, 50 leaf samples, which were taken from 10 different park and gardens located in Izmit, Kocaeli and each leaf samples were analyzed. And then the results of the leaf samples analysis were compared with the critical values of the investigated ornamental plants for nutritional status determine. According to the results, 90 % N and Cu, 100 % K and Mn, 70 % Mg, 10 % Fe and 30 % Zn deficiency were determined for Linnaeaceae (Lonicera nidita) plant. 90 % N, 100 % K and Mn, 90 % Mg, 80 % Cu and 50 % Zn deficiency were determined for Magnolia (Magnolia grandiflora) plant. 100 % N and K, 90 % Mn, 70 % Cu and 10 % Zn deficiency were determined for Hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla) plant. 100 % N, K and Mn and 60 % Zn deficiency were determined for Rose (Rosa odaorata) plant. 90 % N, 30 % P, 100 % K, Cu and Zn and 80 % Fe deficiency were determined for Oleander (Nerium oleander) plant.
