Lojistik Meslek Lisesi Öğrencilerinin Lojistik Coğrafyası Bilgi ve Algıları Üzerine Bir İnceleme

Abstract

Lojistik coğrafyası; iktisadi faaliyetler, ulaşım ve lojistik süreçlerin etkileşim sahasında yer almakta ve mevcut durumların coğrafi şartlar açısından değerlendirmesini yapmaktadır. Bu bakımdan lojistik coğrafyası, lojistik faaliyetlerin gerçekleştiği coğrafya üzerindeki şartları sebep ve sonuçlarına göre açıklayarak, bunların dağılış prensibi ile ortaya konmasını sağlamaktadır. Ayrıca lojistik coğrafyası, hammadde veya mamul maddelerin mekânsal hareketliliği ve yer değişimlerinin coğrafi nedenlerini, sonuçlarını ve dağılışlarını ele almakta ve bunları coğrafya prensiplerine göre açıklamaktır. Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, meslek lisesi öğrencilerinden lojistik bölümünde okuyan öğrencilerin, lojistik coğrafyası üzerine bilgilerini ve görüşlerini tespit etmek ve değerlendirmektir. Yöntem olarak lojistik lisesi öğrencilerine iki açık uçlu soru ve altı likert tipi anket uygulanmış ve elde edilen veriler SPSS programında analiz edilerek sonuçlar ortaya konmuştur. Sonuçta, lojistik ve coğrafya arasında sıkı bir ilişki olduğu görüşünün öğrencilerce kabul edildiği tespit edilmiş ve lojistik faaliyetler için coğrafya bilgisinin önemli olduğu bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca lojistik meslek lisesi öğrencilerin meslekleri gereği coğrafya ile yakından ilgilendikleri ve coğrafi bilgi sahibi olmayı önemli buldukları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Logistic geography is an area where economic activities, transportation, and logistic processes interact. It deals with the assessment of existing situations in terms of geographical conditions. In this sense, it explains the conditions in areas where logistic activities are carried out on the basis of causes and effects and shows them based on the principle of distribution. Moreover, it handles the geographical causes, effects, and distribution of the spatial mobility and displacement of raw materials or finished products and explains them based on the principles of geography. The main aim of this study is to determine and evaluate vocational school of logistics students' knowledge and perceptions of logistic geography. A questionnaire was administered to vocational school of logistics students. Six Likert-type survey questions were asked. Besides, two open-ended questions were asked. The results of the collected data were obtained through SPSS analysis. It was found out that students agree that there is a close relationship between logistics and geography, and knowledge is important for logistic activities. Furthermore, it was concluded that vocational school of logistics students are closely interested in geography as part of their future jobs and consider having geography knowledge important.
