Türkiye gıda sanayi kuruluşlarının ekonomideki yeri, rolü ve izlenebilecek stratejiler

Abstract

Türk sanayisi içerisinde en önemli sektör imalat sanayidir ve imalat sanayinde de öne çıkan sektör gıda sanayidir. Gıda sanayi sosyo-ekonomik açıdan etken bir sektör olup sağlamış olduğu katma değer; yaratmış olduğu istihdam ve dış ticarette göstermiş olduğu performans ile rekabet gücü yüksek kabul edilmektedir. Tarım sektöründe oluşabilecek olumlu veya olumsuz gelişmeler doğrudan gıda sanayini etkilemektedir. Bu sebeple bu iki sektörü ayrı düşünmemek gerekir. Gıda sanayinin istenilen düzeyde gelişebilmesi için tarım sektörünün de gelişiminin sağlanması gerekmektedir. TDS beş yıllık kalkınma planlarına en fazla uyum gösteren sektörlerdendir. Bununla beraber toplum beslenmesindeki önemi ve dış ticaretteki payı açısından daha fazla önemsenmesi gerekmektedir. Ayrıca küreselleşmeyle birlikte giderek yoğunlaşan uluslar arası rekabet ile oluşan tek dünya pazarı, Türkiye gıda sektörünün de yeni önlemler alması ve yeniden yapılanması gerekliliğini ortaya koymaktadır. Bu çalışmada Tarıma Dayalı Sanayi (TDS) genel olarak ve alt sektörleriyle beraber mevcut durumu, son yıllardaki gelişimi, geçmişteki ve günümüzde var olan sorunları incelenmiştir. Gıda sanayinin ve sorunların çözüme kavuşturulabilmesi için elde edilen verilerden yararlanılarak Swot Analiz Yöntemi ile sektörün uygulayabileceği stratejilerin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır.

Manufacturing sector is the most important sector in Turkey and food industry is one of the leading industries within manufacturing sector. Food industry is a socio-economic factor and its added values are accepted as increased employment, performance in foreign trade and high competitive power. Possible negative or positive developments in agricultural sector have a direct effect on the food industry. Therefore, it is important to unconsidere those 2 sectors separately. Development of food industry is closely related to development of agricultural sector. Agribusiness Industry is very compatible with 5 year development plans. Nevertheless, its importance in community nutrition and its share in foreign trade should be considered more. Besides, Turkish food sector should take measures and develop more due to the effects of globalisation and increased international competition in world trade. This study analyses food industry in general and current situation including subsectors, developments in recent years, previous and current issues. SWOT Analysis is used to determine strategies to be implemented by the sector and the data is used to solve problems in the food sector.
