Gravürde acı ve ölüm teması

Abstract

Yapılan çalışmada ilk olarak Dürer ve Rembrandt’ın dini konulu baskıresimleri, acı ve ölüm teması altında incelenmiştir. Dini baskıresimler üzerinde yapılan incelemelerin ardından toplumsal problemler ve savaşın getirdiği acı ve ölüm teması araştırılmış ve görsellerle desteklenmiştir. Bu konuda Francisco Goya,, Otto Dix gibi sanatçıların savaş konulu eserleri, Kathe Kollwitz ve Frans Masereel gibi sanatçıların da toplumsal sorunlara yaptıkları eleştirel baskıresimler üzerinden tahliller yapılmıştır. Ve ardından 1950 sonrası baskıresim sanatçılarının acı ve ölüm konusunu ele alışındaki farklılık dile getirilmiştir. Albrecht Dürer’den günümüze kompozisyonda, ışık-gölgede, biçimde ve konu anlayışında gözlemlenen değişim vurgulanmıştır. Gerçekçi, vahşi savaş sahneleri dışavurumcu tarzda işlenmiş, insanî acıların resmedildiği sahnelere dönüşmüş; konu sadece insanla kalmamış hayvan ölümleri de dikkat çekmeye başlamıştır. Baskıresim sanatçılarının toplumda yaşanan olaylara karşı duyarlı tutumuna dikkat çekilmiştir. ii Yapılan tez çalışmasında amaç Hristiyanlığın temel figürlerinden biri olan İsa ve yaşananların betimlemeleriyle başlayıp, günümüze uzanan ölümü anlatan baskıresim eserlerini “Acı ve Ölüm” teması altında toplayıp netleştirmek ve eser seçkileri üzerinden analiz yapmaktır. Çalışma sırasında literatür taraması yapılmış, toplanan veriler incelenmiş ve düzenlenmiştir. Toplanan görsel veriler analiz edilmiş, sonuçlar tez çalışmasına eklenmiştir.

One common and most real part of mankind is mortal. Death brings separation and sorrow to people. For centuries, reactions to death have varied. Sometimes death is welcomed happily, blessed happily; sometimes it is mourning and lamentation after death. In the 21st century, death is a condition of suffering and sadness. These two situations, which all mankind will inevitably experience, are reflected in plastic arts, and in various forms, they are decorated with colors and lines. In this work, the theme of sorrow and death was first examined in Albrecht Dürer's prints. Following the studies on religious prints, the social problems and the sorrow and death related to the war have been researched and supported visually. This was done through the works of war artists such as Kathe Kollwitz and Francisco Goya. The difference in the post-1950 edition of the painters' approach to the issue of sorrow and death was expressed. Albrecht Dürer emphasized the change observed in the day-to-day composition, light-shadow, form and subject understanding. Realistic wild war scenes have turned into scenes depicting human sufferings in expressionist style; not only human beings but animal deaths have begun to attract attention. Attention is drawn to the sensitive attitude of print artists towards the events in society. The aim of the thesis study is to clarify one of the basic figures of Christianity, namely the depictions of Jesus and the living, and to collect and clarify the works of repression that describe the day-to-day death under the theme of "Sorrow and Death". The collected visual data were analyzed and the results were added to the thesis study.
