TEKİRDAĞ KENTSEL SİT ALANININ GEÇMİŞTEN GÜNÜMÜZE DEĞİŞİMİNİN PEYZAJ MİMARLIĞI VE TURİZM POTANSİYELİ AÇISINDAN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Abstract

Araştırmada, kültürel kaynak değerleri ve sosyal yapısıyla önem taşıyan Tekirdağ’ın, sit alanının mevcut durumunun korunması, günümüz koşullarında sürdürülebilirliğinin sağlanması ve turizm potansiyeli ile birlikte değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda, bu çalışma ile Tekirdağ tarihi kent merkezinde etkin bir korumanın sağlanması için planlama kararlarına yönelik öneriler geliştirilmiştir. Çalışmada yöntem çerçevesinde izlenen süreç boyunca; kentin tarihi ve mekânsal gelişim süreci içinde fiziksel yapısının incelenmesi, tarihi yapılar ile kent dokusunun (cadde, sokak, meydan vs.) öneminin saptanması ve tarihsel çevre içinde dokuyu olumsuz etkileyen koşullar saptanmıştır. Sonuçta da tarihi çevrelerin korunması gerekliliğinin ortaya konması, çağdaş yaşam koşullarıyla entegrasyonunun sağlandığı, kültürel kimliğini sürdüren ve yaşanabilir mekânlar olarak gelecek nesillere aktarılmasında etkin olacak plan kararları geliştirilmiştir.

The study was intended the preservation of the current status of the site of the city Tekirdag, which is important with its cultural values and the social structure, to ensure the sustainability of current conditions and to be evaluated together with its tourism potential. In this context, proposals for the planning decisions have been developed through this study in order to ensure an effective protection of the Tekirdag historic city centre. During the process followed in the method framework of the study; examination of the physical structure of the city's historical and spatial development process, determination of the importance of the historical buildings and the urban fabric (avenues, streets, squares, etc.) and the conditions negatively affecting the tissue of the historical environment have been determined. Consequently, decisions for planning that will be effective in demonstrating the necessity of protecting the historical environment, where the integration is provided with modern living conditions, and in handing down the maintaining of cultural identity and the liveable spaces to the next generations have been developed.
