Sentezlenen bu bileşiklerin kimyasal formulleri {[(BiCl2(?2-Cl(EtMBZIM)2)2].C2H5OH} (1), {[(BiBr2(?2-Br(EtMBZIM)2)2].H2O} (2) and {[(BiI2(?2-I(EtMBZIM)2)2]} (3) şeklindindedir. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | to the similarity of some of its physical properties until the 18th century, it was mixed with tin and lead, therefore it was not accepted as a new element. In 1739, it was claimed that Postt and Bergman had a cliff-like element outside the tin and lead which was found in the same family and it was accepted that it was a new element. The name bismuth is called Wismut (Wissmut), a German word for white mass. The structures of bismuth (III) compounds are more complex than arsenic and antimony metals, although there are many similarities with arsenic (As) and antimony (Sb), which are among the 15th group elements on the periodic table. The lewic acid characteristic of bismuth (III) compounds causes these compounds to have high metal oxidation. Because of this property, the coordination numbers of compounds synthesized with bismuth (III) salts have a wide range ranging from 3 to 10 and vary irregularly. In particular, bismuth (III) halides (Cl, Br and I) have been observed to have highly antiproliferative activity on uterine cancer (HeLa) and breast cancer (MCF-7). It has been found that the cisplatin and carboplatin drugs used in the treatment of uterine cancer (HeLa) and breast cancer (MCF-7) have much less antiproliferative activity than the compounds of these synthesized bismuth (III) halides with thion group-containing ligands. In this completed research project, three new compounds were synthesized by 5-ethoxy-2-mercaptobenzimidazole of formula C9H10N2OS and bismuth (III) halides (BiX3, X: Cl, Br and I). Chemical formulas of these synthesized {[(BiCl2(?2- Cl(EtMBZIM)2)2].C2H5OH} (1), {[(BiBr2(?2-Br(EtMBZIM)2)2].H2O} (2) and {[(BiI2(?2- I(EtMBZIM)2)2]} (3). The chemical structures of these synthesized compounds were determined by various spectroscopic methods such as melting point, elemental analysis, FT-IR Spectroscopy, FT-Raman Spectroscopy, TG-DTA, UV Spectroscopy, 1H and 13CNMR spectroscopy. In addition, these compounds synthesized by the X-ray diffraction method in the chemical structure of the three compounds are suitable for X-ray diffraction analysis. The inhibitory effects of these novel compounds on Lipoxygenase (LOX) enzyme, which were synthesized and illuminated by various spectroscopic methods, were investigated. | en_US |
